TITLE: SALES REPRESENTATIVE

POSITION SUMMARY: Sells custom designed silkscreen and / or embroidered apparel and non-apparel to existing and new customers. Will aid customer in selection of colors and designs, utilizing knowledge of textile, inks, and types of weaves. Writes job orders with quantities and design specifications for art and printing department.

MAJOR DUTIES:
·Will give price estimates to customers by phone, fax, and e-mail or in person.
·Actively recruits new customers ie: Schools, Businesses, special events etc.
·Will organize mailings and promotions to broaden The Shirt Shops market.
·Check e-mail frequently and respond to e-mail if necessary.
·Will work closely with other sales reps, art and printing department.
·Has to make sure that the job is done by the due date given to the customer.
·Will make follow up calls to customers after the job is completed.
·Responsible, together with the bookkeeper, for past due accounts on jobs sold.

REQUIREMENTS:
·Experience as an outdoor sales rep a must (retail experience alone won’t qualify applicant for this job).
·Excellent people and business skills.
·Cold calling” will be part of the job.
·Applicant might be on the road for short periods of time in order to expend our market outside the Missoula area.
·Valid Clean Drivers license and no history of DUI / DWI
·Applicant needs to provide his/her own transportation in the form of a reliable vehicle. (Mileage compensation available)
·Basic computer skills: Typing, Internet, Microsoft word, Outlook express
·Legible handwriting a must.
·Knowledge of the screen-printing business a plus.
·Knowledge of the Missoula area, surrounding towns and local businesses a plus.
